This position is related to the development of a complete low cost and scalable prototype indoor Location Based Services (LBS) application. This application will be developed for LUMS library building.
The main objective of this application will be to automatically determine user location and provide navigation to the desired book shelf along with several other useful location based services.
The person will lead the development of localization module, databases and map digitization.
Will lead a team of 01 developer and undergraduate students to carry out the following tasks:
- Acquisition, digitization and development of indoor maps
- Collection of Wi-Fi fingerprinting data and development of Wi-Fi fingerprinting database
- Development of Point of interests (PoIs) database on digitized maps
- Integration of Wi-Fi fingerprinting and POI databases with LUMS library books database
- Implementation of localization algorithms for localization module
- Stand-alone software tools for the implementation of localization module
- Report writing
