Supporting users in creating precision prototypes through CNC machining is a key part of the job. The position also includes providing technical support during CNC-focused workshops and training sessions, as well as training users on CNC machine operation and programming. Collaboration with the Lab Engineer for machine repairs and prompt reporting of any hazards or malfunctions are important responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain CNC machines, ensuring accurate calibration and consistent high-quality output.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on CNC machinery to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and software-related issues affecting CNC operations.
- Assist users in creating precision prototypes using CNC machining techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards related to CNC machine operation and tool usage.
- Document equipment usage, maintenance tasks, and any issues resolved in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide technical support during CNC-focused workshops and training sessions.
- Train users on the operation and programming of CNC machines to enhance their proficiency.
- Collaborate closely with the Lab Engineer to facilitate machine repairs and maintenance.
- Promptly report any hazards, malfunctions, or safety concerns related to CNC equipment.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience operating and maintaining CNC machinery in a manufacturing or prototyping environment.
- Strong understanding of CNC machine calibration, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance effectively.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in CNC machine operation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills related to both mechanical and software issues.
- Good documentation skills for recording maintenance and operational activities.
- Strong communication skills to support training and technical assistance.
