Purpose of the role:
The Web Developer is responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites, from layout to function and according to the company’s specifications. Strive to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.
Job Role:
- write code in one or more programming or scripting languages, such as PHP or JavaScript
- decide on the best technologies and languages for the project
- test sites in different browsers and environments
- problem-solve
- fix bugs in existing projects
- test new features thoroughly to ensure they perform the correct task in all cases
- run performance bench-marking tests
- learn and test new technologies, frameworks and languages
- stay up to date with new trends and advancements in web development
- build and maintain databases
- carry out code refactoring and optimization of existing code
- document code, so other developers can understand and contribute to it
- Design information architecture within a website.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
- to produce portable libraries that are usable across .NET implementations, using this same set of APIs
- create documents on the World Wide Web using HTML
- Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but, not limited to ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#/VB.NET. Prepare and maintain code for various .Net applications and resolve any defects in systems.

- Mathematical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- An understanding of the latest web trends and their role in a commercial environment
- Teamwork skills, because most projects require input from individuals with different roles
