Malik Zamaan Bhutta Government Contractors seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor specialized in Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) projects to join the team in Multan. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of relevant experience and will manage a team of 10 professionals. This role focuses on precise cost estimation, quantity measurement, contract administration, and effective project management to ensure successful delivery of WASA-related construction projects within budget and timeline constraints. The candidate must demonstrate strong skills in procurement, billing, invoicing, and budget control while maintaining compliance with governmental standards and project specifications. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the construction projects, including detailed quantity takeoff and valuation, contract management, and overseeing procurement activities. Working closely with project managers and engineering teams, the candidate ensures accurate and timely reporting and maintains accountability through efficient measurement techniques and documentation. This role demands attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to lead and mentor the assigned team to achieve project objectives efficiently.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for WASA projects based on project designs, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Conduct accurate quantity takeoffs and valuations to support budgeting and progress measurement of construction works.
  • Manage contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and ensuring compliance with terms and conditions specific to WASA projects.
  • Oversee billing and invoicing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions and payments.
  • Plan and coordinate procurement management to source materials and services while optimizing costs and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Administer contract changes, variations, and claims effectively to minimize disputes and ensure project continuity.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and other relevant software tools for interpreting project drawings and generating quantity calculations.
  • Supervise and lead a team of 10 personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance management to maintain high standards and productivity.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve any financial or contractual issues.
  • Ensure all documentation related to measurement, valuation, and contract administration is maintained accurately and promptly.
  • Conduct regular site visits to verify quantities, workmanship, and adherence to project specifications and standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and legislative requirements related to WASA and government construction projects.
