We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Officer specializing in Export and Banking to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of export finance, international banking procedures, and accounting principles.

The role entails managing financial transactions related to exports, coordinating with banks for documentation and payments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to our organization's financial success by maintaining accurate financial records and facilitating efficient export operations.

Responsibilities:

Bank Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for all banking matters related to exports. Coordinate with banks to facilitate letters of credit, bank guarantees, and other financial instruments required for export transactions.
Payment Processing: Ensure timely processing of export payments and receipts. Verify and reconcile export transactions, including monitoring bank statements and resolving discrepancies.
Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in export regulations and banking practices to ensure compliance. Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks associated with export activities.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records related to export transactions. Generate reports on export sales, receivables, and cash flow for management review.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as sales, logistics, and compliance to streamline export processes and resolve issues promptly.
Auditing and Internal Controls: Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations. Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize export and banking processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Recommend and implement solutions to address any gaps or inefficiencies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. or B.Com
Proven experience in accounting and finance roles with a focus on export and banking operations.
Thorough understanding of international trade regulations, including Incoterms, letters of credit, and export compliance requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, external partners, and financial institutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
