Manager Bedding Merchandiser Zellbury Lahore

Zellbury is seeking an experienced professional to join its Bedding Department as Manager – Bedding Merchandiser. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in bedding and home textiles, specifically within Pakistan’s retail sourcing and vendor-management environment. The position involves managing the entire merchandising cycle, including local sourcing, vendor development, product development, costing, margin negotiation, production monitoring, inventory coordination, quality assurance, and commercial performance. Candidates with purely export-oriented experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage local sourcing and vendor development for bedding materials such as fabrics, fillings, trims, and packaging, ensuring vendors meet quality, cost, quantity, and delivery standards.
- Coordinate product development and sampling with the design team to translate concepts into commercially viable bedding products that meet design, quality, and cost requirements.
- Lead cost and margin negotiations by optimizing fabric costs, minimum order quantities, supplier terms, lead times, and product margins to support company targets while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
- Oversee product costing by monitoring fabric consumption, processing and production costs, wastage, and overall costing to ensure profitability.
- Manage Time & Action (T&A) calendars, tracking production stages from cutting to final packaging, identifying delays, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams to maintain schedules.
- Collaborate with retail operations to manage order quantities, product demand, and inventory requirements, leveraging knowledge of Pakistani retail operations.
- Monitor product performance through sell-through rates, stock turns, inventory movement, and markdowns to inform merchandising and inventory decisions.
- Ensure quality assurance by coordinating inspections and quality checks, addressing any quality issues with vendors and internal teams.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Management, Fashion, Supply Chain, or a closely related discipline.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in Bedding and Home Textiles, with practical exposure to sourcing, vendor management, product development, costing, production follow-up, and retail coordination.
- Strong knowledge of Pakistani retail sourcing and vendor management is mandatory; candidates with purely export experience will not be considered.
- Familiarity with major textile and sourcing hubs in Pakistan, including Karachi, Faisalabad, and Lahore.
- Technical expertise in bedding product construction, fabric and material selection, dyeing, printing, product costing, fabric consumption, production processes, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in advanced MS Excel for costing, analysis, inventory tracking, and merchandising data.
- Experience working with ERP systems related to business and merchandising processes.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Strong negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and problem-solving abilities to balance product quality, cost, supplier capabilities, timelines, inventory, and margins effectively.
- Experience managing local vendors in Karachi, Faisalabad, or Lahore, with demonstrated success in costing, product development, and vendor relationships.
- Ability to highlight measurable achievements such as cost reductions, improved margins, shorter lead times, successful product launches, and enhanced inventory performance is advantageous.
