Manager BIC, BULC

The Manager BIC will serve as the primary liaison between the Directorate of Research Innovation and Commercialization (RIC) at BUHO and the Constituent Unit (CU) level. This role involves both administrative accountability to the Head of the Constituent Unit and functional responsibility to the Directorate of BIC based at BUHO, Islamabad. The Manager will ensure effective implementation of BUHO policies within the CU, support faculty members in navigating research and development policies, and promote research activities through coordination and mentorship. The position requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple tasks related to research proposals, project monitoring, and organizing academic events to foster innovation and commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the main point of contact for the Directorate of RIC – BUHO at the Constituent Unit level.
- Ensure the implementation of policies issued by BUHO within the Constituent Unit.
- Compile and prepare data related to Key Performance Indicators and Strategic Targets of RIC at the CU level.
- Oversee the completion of application dossiers for all BIC policies, including Cash Awards, Publication Fees, Travel Grants, Research Proposals, and Research Projects.
- Facilitate faculty members by addressing queries related to research and development policies.
- Guide and mentor researchers and faculty members in submitting research proposals for external funding.
- Submit bimonthly progress reports on funded research projects awarded to faculty members of respective Constituent Units.
- Organize biannual interactive sessions with faculty members to promote research, innovation, and commercialization at the CU level.
- Represent RIC in all Corporate Advisory Committees (CACs) and Research Groups established within the departments of the respective Constituent Units.
- Coordinate workshops and conferences at the CU level in consultation with the Directorate of RIC-BUHO.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Director Campus or Director RIC – BUHO.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess a minimum of 18 years of education in a relevant domain.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience is preferred, demonstrating a strong background in research administration, policy implementation, and faculty support within academic or research institutions.
