This role is designed to support the Generation Revenue and Tariff functions by managing reporting models, regulatory requirements, and service level agreements across all KE Generation Plants.

Key Responsibilities

Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) Management:
Lead the comprehensive review, evaluation, and finalization of Power Purchase and Service Level Agreements, ensuring alignment with commercial, financial, legal, operational, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with internal teams such as Legal, Technical, and Regulatory Affairs, as well as external counterparties, to facilitate timely execution of agreements. Analyze critical contractual elements including tariff structures, capacity obligations, performance guarantees, payment terms, force majeure, and termination clauses. Drive commercial negotiations to secure favorable terms that protect the company’s and plants’ interests. Develop and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), governance frameworks, and controls to ensure compliance. Monitor adherence to contracts, identify risks proactively, and recommend mitigation strategies. Maintain organized documentation of contracts, amendments, and compliance records.

Revenue Reporting and Modelling:
Oversee monthly revenue models for all power plants, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Coordinate with Plant Operations, Fuel Management, and other stakeholders to resolve data issues and streamline reporting. Manage revenue-related indexations such as fuel cost adjustments, insurance, exchange rates, and other tariff components in line with contractual and regulatory guidelines. Validate operational and financial data from plants, ensuring integrity and consistency. Develop databases and reporting tools to support forecasting, performance tracking, and decision-making. Analyze revenue variances and key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions and provide insightful analysis to support strategic decisions. Guide team members in reporting activities, uphold quality standards, and continuously enhance reporting processes and automation. Address ad hoc analytical requests from internal and external parties efficiently.

Regulatory Management:
Serve as the liaison with regulatory authorities on licensing, tariff, compliance, and commercial matters. Prepare, review, and submit regulatory filings and reports within deadlines. Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the company’s commercial and financial interests. Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate information for submissions. Support management during regulatory proceedings, meetings, and consultations. Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain comprehensive records of all correspondence and approvals.

Stakeholder Management and Conflict Resolution:
Build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business goals. Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Plant teams to align contractual, commercial, and operational needs. Facilitate resolution of disputes and concerns through effective communication and negotiation. Manage stakeholder expectations by providing timely updates on key matters. Collaborate with plant teams to resolve data issues and ensure standardized processes. Promote transparency, accountability, and collaboration across functions.

Team Management:
Provide leadership by setting clear goals and expectations for team members. Optimize resource allocation to meet objectives and project deadlines. Conduct performance evaluations and offer coaching to enhance individual and team effectiveness. Identify development opportunities to support career growth. Foster open communication and a culture of feedback within the team and with stakeholders. Address conflicts promptly to maintain a cohesive work environment.

Required Qualifications
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with completed training, or ACCA qualification with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration is acceptable.
