The Employee Relations Specialist will serve as the primary contact for addressing employee relations matters within the hospital, including grievances, conflicts, misconduct, and disciplinary issues. This role involves leading thorough investigations into complaints such as harassment and policy violations, advising managers on performance management and conflict resolution, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal policies. The specialist will also manage the disciplinary and grievance processes, maintain confidential records, and support initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture aligned with the organization’s values.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the main point of contact for employee relations issues across the hospital, handling grievances, conflicts, misconduct, and disciplinary matters.
- Lead and conduct fair, timely, and comprehensive investigations into employee complaints, harassment allegations, policy violations, and workplace disputes.
- Advise and coach managers and supervisors on managing performance issues, disciplinary actions, terminations, and conflict resolution effectively.
- Develop, review, and update employee relations policies, procedures, and the employee handbook to ensure compliance with labor laws and best practices.
- Ensure organizational adherence to applicable labor laws, employment regulations, and internal HR policies to minimize legal and reputational risks.
- Manage the disciplinary and grievance process end-to-end, including documentation, hearings, show-cause notices, and final decisions, coordinating with HR leadership and legal counsel as necessary.
- Track, analyze, and report on employee relations metrics such as grievances, disciplinary actions, and turnover trends, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Support exit interview processes and analyze findings to identify trends affecting employee retention and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all employee relations cases and their outcomes.
- Promote a culture of open communication and ethical conduct consistent with the organization’s mission and values.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws, healthcare employment practices, and employee relations trends, ensuring internal practices are revised accordingly.

Required Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices relevant to Pakistan and the healthcare sector.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills to effectively manage sensitive employee relations issues.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write detailed reports and maintain case documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
