Manager Finance CGT

This role involves managing and overseeing all financial reporting and compliance activities related to Income Tax, Sales Tax, financial statements, and other statutory submissions. The incumbent will ensure accuracy and timely submission of reports while coordinating with tax advisors and relevant authorities. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams and external auditors to maintain financial integrity and support audit processes. Additionally, the role includes preparing budgets, monitoring trust funds, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all reporting related to Income Tax, Sales Tax, financial statements, and other statutory submissions within prescribed deadlines.
- Prepare quarterly Advance Tax calculations in coordination with the Tax Advisor.
- Oversee payment of principal and interest to the Ministry of Finance (MoF) according to the repayment schedule.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and prepare monthly management accounts.
- Ensure compliance with International Accounting Standards (IAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and relevant circulars issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) for financial statement preparation.
- Maintain robust accounting controls by developing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Liaise with both external and internal auditors to facilitate the finalization of statutory and internal audits. Provide consultative support to other department managers through financial and management information analysis and reporting.
- Prepare and present the annual budget for both schemes to the trustee committee and relevant authorities.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions, including Guarantee Premiums and Settlement of Claims.
- Monitor scheme funds and manage the opening and maintenance of Trust bank accounts.
- Coordinate with the Treasury department for placements and investments of Trust funds.
- Develop, review, and update accounting policies, considering changes in accounting standards, SBP guidelines, tax laws, and other relevant circulars.
- Coordinate with the Ministry of Finance for any information required under the Trust Deed and related agreements.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Departmental Head.

Required Qualifications

- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Income Tax, Sales Tax, and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in IAS/IFRS and familiarity with SBP and SECP regulations.
- Experience in preparing management accounts, bank reconciliations, and budgets.
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Strong analytical skills to reconcile financial discrepancies and interpret financial data.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
