This role is critical in managing the Mobile Application Development Portfolio, overseeing the development and modernization of key mobile applications that drive customer engagement, business operations, and organizational efficiency. The position ensures the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing mobile apps through robust architecture, backend integration, and performance optimization, supporting seamless user experiences across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and debugging of scalable mobile features using frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, or Xamarin, ensuring consistent functionality on both iOS and Android platforms.
- Develop and maintain native platform-specific code (Swift/Kotlin) to optimize performance and access device-specific hardware and APIs.
- Architect secure local database solutions (SQLite, Realm) and synchronization mechanisms to maintain app functionality during limited connectivity.
- Implement microservices-based designs within mobile applications, focusing on efficient API interaction and resource management.
- Maintain high standards of code quality, maintainability, and testing to support long-term feature growth and stability.
- Engineer high-fidelity user interfaces aligned with Material Design and Apple Human Interface Guidelines, ensuring smooth rendering and performance.
- Utilize profiling tools (Xcode Instruments, Android Studio Profiler) to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks related to memory, threading, and app launch times.
- Integrate and optimize device features such as GPS, camera, biometrics, and push notifications, managing permissions and power consumption effectively.
- Employ crash analytics and monitoring tools to diagnose and resolve production issues, driving continuous reliability improvements.
- Design and implement robust mobile security measures, including secure credential storage, data encryption, OAuth 2.0 authorization, and compliance with OWASP Mobile Top 10 risks.
- Ensure adherence to IT compliance standards and external regulations through secure coding practices and automated testing (unit, widget, UI/integration tests).
- Manage the technical process of app packaging and deployment to Apple App Store and Google Play Store, including metadata, certificates, provisioning profiles, and version control.
- Act as a liaison between development teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating technical risks and decisions into clear business language.
- Coordinate with backend and infrastructure teams to resolve dependencies and align feature releases.
- Collaborate across technical teams to standardize development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and security practices organization-wide.
- Supervise and mentor the mobile development team, promoting professional growth and enforcing coding/documentation standards.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Minimum of 8 years of IT experience, with at least 6 years in mobile application development (native and cross-platform such as Flutter or React Native).
- At least 4 years of experience in modern UI/UX design for mobile applications, familiar with Jetpack Compose, Google Material Design, and Apple HIG.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mobile application security.
- Possession of at least two mobile development certifications.
