Manager Networks

Air University is seeking a skilled and experienced IT professional to join its Karachi Campus as a Network and Systems Administrator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing IT infrastructure, network administration, and cybersecurity, along with proven leadership abilities. This role involves overseeing IT operations, managing teams and vendors, and supporting multi-site environments while ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The candidate should be capable of working under pressure and contributing to the establishment of new campus facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage network and system administration tasks, including Layer-2 and Layer-3 devices, routing, and switching.
- Plan, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure to support organizational needs.
- Oversee data backup processes, cybersecurity measures, and manage next-generation firewalls.
- Lead and supervise IT teams and coordinate with external vendors to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle budgeting, procurement, and inventory management of IT equipment.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensure compliance.
- Provide problem-solving and decision-making support, especially in high-pressure situations.
- Support multi-site IT operations and contribute to the establishment of new campus IT infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 to 8 years of relevant IT experience, including 2 to 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong hands-on experience with network and system administration.
- Proficient in managing Layer-2 and Layer-3 networking devices, routing, and switching.
- Demonstrated ability to lead IT teams and manage vendor relationships effectively.
- Experience in IT infrastructure planning, cybersecurity, data backup, and firewall management.
- Skilled in budgeting, procurement, and inventory control of IT resources.
- Knowledgeable about IT policy development, SOPs, and compliance standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multi-site IT support.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, or other relevant credentials are preferred.
