The role involves developing, coordinating, and overseeing the planning, documentation, performance management, and operational control systems within the Facilities Management – Maintenance Department. The primary focus is to ensure efficient maintenance operations, maintain regulatory compliance, and provide uninterrupted support services to the hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and monitor comprehensive maintenance plans on annual, monthly, and weekly bases, including preventive maintenance schedules. Create, review, and maintain departmental policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), protocols, and technical documentation to support maintenance activities. Establish and track departmental key performance indicators (KPIs), maintain performance dashboards, and prepare periodic management reports. Coordinate planning and documentation efforts across Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), HVAC, Electronics, Civil, Building Maintenance, and Groundskeeping functions. Monitor utility consumption such as electricity, water, gas, medical gases, and fuel, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency. Develop and manage fuel usage, generator performance, and utility consumption reporting systems. Oversee departmental documentation including work permits, gate passes, inspection records, maintenance reports, shutdown procedures, and compliance registers. Manage Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) activities, ensuring accurate preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, asset records, and maintenance history. Support annual budgeting, procurement planning, resource allocation, and monitor maintenance-related costs. Ensure all documentation and planning align with healthcare regulatory requirements, safety standards, audits, and accreditation processes. Monitor maintenance performance, identify operational gaps, and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency. Collaborate closely with engineering teams, clinical departments, administration, procurement, finance, and external service providers to ensure smooth operations.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in facilities management, maintenance planning, or engineering operations. Proven experience working with CMMS/ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion CMMS or an equivalent platform. Strong skills in maintenance and facilities management planning, documentation management, KPI development, utilities and energy management, budgeting, reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
A Master’s degree in Engineering Management, Project Management, or Business Administration is considered an advantage. Experience within healthcare or hospital environments is highly preferred, given the specialized nature of hospital maintenance and regulatory requirements.
