Manager Procurement

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager Procurement to oversee the company’s procurement operations, vendor relationships, purchasing processes, and supply chain needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in negotiation, sourcing, market analysis, and vendor management to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
- Manage the entire procurement cycle, from purchase requisition through to delivery.
- Identify, assess, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best terms.
- Obtain and compare quotations to guarantee competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Maintain and regularly update an approved vendor and supplier database.
- Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery timelines, and compliance with agreements.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, office supplies, and other essentials.
- Collaborate with Administration, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and other departments to understand procurement needs.
- Prepare and review purchase orders, quotations, comparative statements, and other procurement documentation.
- Ensure all purchases are properly authorized and documented in compliance with company policies.
- Monitor market trends and prices to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with reliable suppliers.
- Address and resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, defective materials, pricing disputes, and supplier conflicts.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, quotations, and vendor documentation.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and regulations.
- Prepare regular procurement reports for management review.
- Monitor procurement budgets and control unnecessary expenses.
- Support management in developing and enhancing procurement policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant procurement or purchasing experience, preferably within malls, construction, property management, corporate, or similar sectors.
- Proven expertise in vendor management and supplier negotiations.
- Strong knowledge of local markets, suppliers, pricing structures, and procurement best practices.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
- Ability to prepare comparative statements, purchase orders, and procurement reports accurately.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Honest, responsible, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong coordination skills to work effectively with multiple departments and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in construction materials, MEP, maintenance, facility management, or mall operations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement software is preferred.
- Solid understanding of procurement controls, vendor evaluation, and cost management.

This is a full-time position based in Lahore, Pakistan. The role requires in-person attendance. Salary is negotiable and will be based on experience and qualifications, with a typical range between Rs80,000 and Rs100,000 per month.
