The Manager - Projects and Governance will be based in Karachi and will play a pivotal role within the Projects and Governance Division, focusing on Treasury and Capital Markets (T and CM). This position, classified under Band-9, requires a dynamic professional who can effectively oversee project management activities and ensure robust governance frameworks are in place. The role demands a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to drive project execution, monitor progress, and align initiatives with organizational goals. The successful candidate will contribute to enhancing operational efficiency and compliance within the division.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects related to Treasury and Capital Markets, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop and implement governance frameworks to support project execution and risk management.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project workflows.
- Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and escalate issues as necessary to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project management practices within the division.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Manage resources effectively to meet project objectives within allocated budgets and timelines.

Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, or a related field is mandatory.
- Proven experience in managing projects, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of governance principles, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and deliver results under pressure.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
