We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and enhance our Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions within the plastic manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust Quality Management Systems (QMS), ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards, and driving continuous improvement across all stages of production. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of plastic processing and quality methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality standards to ensure consistent product excellence.
- Lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams, monitoring departmental performance and fostering a culture of quality.
- Ensure strict compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and company procedures throughout all processes.
- Oversee quality monitoring across raw materials, production, in-process stages, and finished products to maintain high standards.
- Investigate quality deviations, defects, and customer complaints by conducting root-cause analysis and implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate closely with Production, Research & Development, Maintenance, and Sales teams to resolve quality-related issues efficiently.
- Establish and monitor quality parameters, inspection plans, and testing procedures specifically for plastic products.
- Review and approve quality reports, inspection results, product specifications, and test records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct internal quality audits and ensure that corrective actions are effectively implemented and tracked.
- Analyze trends in rejection, wastage, and defects to identify opportunities for improving product quality and reducing production losses.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of quality testing and laboratory equipment to guarantee reliable results.
- Support new product development initiatives, including trials and validation of new raw materials and processes.
- Maintain compliance with applicable ISO standards and customer requirements to uphold certification and customer trust.
- Provide regular quality performance reports and actionable recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Polymer, Chemical, Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, preferably within the plastic manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of plastic processing techniques such as injection molding, blow molding, PET/preform manufacturing, and quality inspection methods.
- Proficient understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO 9001 standards, CAPA processes, and root cause analysis tools including 5 Why and Fishbone diagrams.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and developing quality teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex quality challenges.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and quality reporting systems for effective documentation and communication.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively across multiple departments and stakeholders.
Compensation and Work Location
The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 150,000. This is an in-person role requiring the candidate to work onsite.
