We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Manager to join our expanding team. Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze Statutory Regulatory Orders (SROs), circulars, notifications, amendments, and other regulations issued by Federal and Provincial taxation authorities, assessing their impact on clients.
- Maintain an up-to-date and thorough understanding of Income Tax laws, Federal and Provincial Sales Tax laws, rules, notifications, and related regulatory requirements.
- Prepare monthly sales tax computations and submit sales tax returns through relevant e-portals in accordance with applicable Federal and Provincial sales tax laws.
- Prepare Payment Slips (PSIDs)/challans for sales tax and other applicable tax liabilities.
- Calculate income tax withholding obligations and prepare and submit withholding statements under section 165 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
- Review and interpret tax notices, show-cause notices, audit queries, and other correspondence from taxation authorities, identifying required information and documentation from clients.
- Coordinate with clients to gather relevant financial, accounting, legal, and supporting documents necessary for responding to tax notices and regulatory requirements.
- Draft, review, and finalize replies to notices and correspondence issued by taxation authorities.
- Represent clients and attend hearings before tax officers and taxation authorities, effectively communicating the client’s position and submitted responses.
- Obtain necessary information from clients for annual individual income tax return submissions and prepare and submit these returns after thorough review.
- Stay informed on the Companies Act, 2017, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) regulations, guidelines, and corporate compliance requirements.
- Prepare and submit annual returns, Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) forms, and other statutory filings related to changes in company particulars with SECP.
- Prepare additional forms for changes in company particulars as required.
- Coordinate and liaise effectively between clients, taxation authorities, SECP, and senior management to ensure timely resolution of tax and corporate compliance matters.
- Monitor statutory deadlines and ensure timely completion and submission of tax and corporate compliance assignments.
- Conduct visits to regulatory bodies’ offices for follow-ups and meetings as necessary.
- Review work prepared by junior team members, providing technical guidance, supervision, and quality control.
- Maintain organized records of tax filings, notices, correspondence, hearings, corporate documents, and other relevant client information.
- Assist senior management with tax planning, compliance reviews, client advisory matters, and resolution of complex tax and corporate issues.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understand client requirements, and ensure professional and timely delivery of services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Part-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with tax paper cleared is preferred.
- Proficient spoken and written English skills.
