This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and availability of all telecommunication systems within a hospital environment. The position involves planning and executing infrastructure upgrades, managing a variety of telecommunication technologies, and leading a technical team to support daily operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex telecommunication systems and a proven track record in maintaining high system uptime through proactive maintenance and effective vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and availability of all telecommunication systems, including hardware, software, and network connectivity across the hospital. Plan, implement, and monitor telecommunication infrastructure upgrades and expansion projects to meet evolving organizational needs. Manage, administer, and troubleshoot systems such as Siemens HiPath 4000, Siemens OpenScape, Nurse Call System, Queue Management System, Public Address System, Branded SMS Platform, QueueMatic System, PTCL Messaging Services, Main Distribution Frame Optical Fiber Network, TV and LED Display Systems, and Panasonic PABX.

Lead, supervise, and develop the telecommunications technical team, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the operator room to ensure efficient workflow. Maintain maximum system uptime by conducting preventive maintenance, performing timely troubleshooting, and coordinating effectively with vendors and service providers. Keep comprehensive documentation of telecommunication systems, including configurations, maintenance schedules, and service records to support operational continuity and compliance.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering from a reputable institution is essential. Candidates should have 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in telecommunications, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity. Strong hands-on expertise with enterprise telecommunication systems, including PABX, IP telephony, fiber optic networks, conferencing solutions, and other ICT technologies, is required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and management skills are necessary to lead teams and interact with stakeholders effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is also expected.
