Manual QA, Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to join our team in Johar Town, Lahore, Pakistan. In this full-time onsite role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through thorough manual testing. Collaborating closely with developers, designers, and product managers, you will identify bugs, validate features, and help deliver a seamless user experience. Your systematic approach and keen attention to detail will directly contribute to maintaining high product standards and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Execute comprehensive manual testing across web and mobile platforms, including functional, regression, exploratory, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on requirements and design specifications.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility testing to ensure consistent performance.
- Validate features against business requirements and acceptance criteria to guarantee alignment with project goals.

Bug Management:
- Identify, document, and report bugs with clear reproduction steps, supporting screenshots or videos, and appropriate severity levels.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to triage and prioritize issues effectively.
- Track defects throughout their lifecycle and verify fixes before closure to maintain product integrity.

Collaboration:
- Participate actively in the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through to delivery.
- Work closely with developers to identify potential problem areas early in the process.
- Coordinate with designers to ensure UI/UX consistency across platforms.
- Engage in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to support Agile workflows.

Process Improvement:
- Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation and uphold quality standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
- Identify opportunities to optimize testing workflows for efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in QA or software engineering, preferably within gaming startups.
- Extensive experience in manual testing for both mobile and desktop web applications.
- Strong attention to detail and a good sense of aesthetics.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and comprehensive test planning.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and tools such as Jira.
- Experience working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) systems like GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Fluency in both Vietnamese and English.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or Selenium.
