Nestlé is seeking a Manufacturing Excellence, Safety and Environment Associate to join the team at its Port Qasim Factory in Karachi. This full-time contractual role supports the implementation of Manufacturing Excellence and Safety & Environment systems, driving continuous improvement, compliance, and sustainability initiatives. The Associate will contribute to performance reporting, risk reduction, capability building, and factory-wide improvements aligned with Nestlé’s commitment to zero accidents, zero environmental incidents, and zero waste.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of the factory’s Manufacturing Excellence roadmap, including pillar activities, maturity assessments, and continuous improvement plans.
- Coordinate monthly and periodic reporting of Manufacturing Excellence, Safety, and Environment KPIs, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Assist in preparing performance presentations, action trackers, and updates for factory operational reviews.
- Facilitate the deployment of improvement methodologies such as DMAIC, GSTD, SMED, standard routines, and problem-solving tools.
- Help maintain pillar structures, competence development plans, implementation roadmaps, and readiness assessments for Manufacturing Excellence pillars.
- Coordinate capability-building activities, including training calendars and competence development plans related to Manufacturing Excellence, Safety, and Environment.
- Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of factory Safety and Environment management systems in line with Nestlé standards.
- Participate in safety and environmental risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with legal requirements, Nestlé standards, permits, NOCs, and mandatory inspections.
- Support internal and external audits, self-assessments, and closure of findings related to Safety, Environment, and Manufacturing Excellence.
- Monitor environmental performance metrics such as water, energy, waste, wastewater, and other sustainability initiatives.
- Support SHE-PM reporting, environmental data management, and tracking of safety and environmental objectives.
- Promote safety ownership, environmental awareness, and continuous improvement behaviors among employees and contractors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Human Resources to advance factory improvement priorities.
- Adhere strictly to the WHO and Local Code in all aspects of the role.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety & Health, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing operations, safety, environment, continuous improvement, or industrial projects.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing systems, continuous improvement methodologies, and operational performance indicators.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental management systems, risk assessment, incident investigation, and legal compliance.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence safe, sustainable, and improvement-focused behaviors.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data reporting or visualization tools is preferred.
- Demonstrated ownership, integrity, learning agility, and a strong commitment to safety and environmental protection.
