OVERVIEW:
Markalytics is a Canada-based Digital Agency, working in the eCommerce & B2B space. It is currently looking for a Full-time Web Developer, to support its marketing and business initiatives. The Web developer will work 40-hours per week at the Marklaytics regional office located in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
SALARY: From 60,000 (To be assessed on the basis of relevant experience & Interview)
PRIMARY WORK:
We are looking for an outstanding Web Developer to be responsible for the coding, innovative design and layout of our website. Web developer responsibilities include building our website from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best website & software development practices
- Configure, design, and develop solutions including key integrations to 3rd party solutions
- Manage eCommerce web store development technology such as Shopify etc.
- Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
- Create and maintain software documentation
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
- Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field) OR Freelancing experience
- Familiarity with eCommerce Platforms like Shopify, WordPress, Magento, etc
- Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
- Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, ASP.NET, Javascript or Ruby on Rails
- Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
- Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
- Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Organization & Project Management: Use excel sheets and other tools to keep track of all work, and establish priorities to deadlines.
- Communicate and coordinate the delivery of projects, maintaining a high level of organization to ensure deliverables are completed.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2-3 years Web Development experience ; Agency experience preferred.
- Relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fresh grads are also encouraged to apply.
- Freelancing experience is also preferred.
