Marketing Specialist

Our client is a historic landmark hotel located in the heart of Mildura’s vibrant shopping and dining precinct, just a short walk from the Murray River. Established in 1889, the hotel features 99 rooms and suites, eight function halls, art deco conference and wedding spaces, a rose garden courtyard, and an outdoor pool. It caters to leisure guests, corporate groups, weddings, and events. On-site dining includes The Spanish Grill, an award-winning charcoal-fired steakhouse with over 23 years of history, and the Coffee Palace café. The hotel is seeking a Marketing Specialist to manage its website, social media channels, and paid advertising campaigns to drive bookings and increase customer engagement. This role involves overseeing three distinct brands under one roof: the hotel itself, The Spanish Grill, and the Coffee Palace café. Experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is highly desirable, along with a proactive mindset and openness to innovative ideas that support business growth and brand strengthening.

Key Responsibilities

Website Maintenance & Updates
- Maintain and update the hotel’s website to ensure it remains accurate, current, and effective as a booking and enquiry platform.
- Regularly refresh content, imagery, and information across pages including rooms, special offers, events, weddings, and conferences to reflect the hotel’s quality and appeal.

Hotel Social Media
- Manage and grow the hotel’s social media presence, building a consistent and recognizable brand identity.
- Plan and publish engaging content that highlights the hotel’s rooms, weddings, conferences, events, and rich history.

Restaurant & Café Social Media
- Oversee social media accounts for The Spanish Grill and the Coffee Palace café, maintaining distinct voices for each venue while aligning with the overall hotel brand.
- Promote The Spanish Grill’s charcoal-grill dining experience and private dining options, as well as the Coffee Palace’s offerings.

Paid Advertising
- Develop, execute, and optimize Meta Ads campaigns to increase direct bookings, function and wedding enquiries, and visits to the restaurant and café.
- Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies to maximize return on investment.

Growth & Brand Ideas
- Contribute fresh ideas for business growth and brand development beyond routine execution.
- Take ownership of new initiatives that receive approval, driving them to successful implementation.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on marketing experience, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Strong skills in social media content creation and management, with experience handling multiple brands or venues simultaneously.
- Proven track record of running successful Meta Ads campaigns with measurable outcomes.
- Ability to maintain and update a website built on Webflow independently, without relying on a developer for routine changes.
- Proactive and open to innovative ideas aimed at growing the business and enhancing the brand.
