Mathematics Lead - Senior Grades

The Intellect School, a well-established Islamic educational institution since 2007 located in Korangi Creek, Karachi, offers a Cambridge-based curriculum integrated with Islamic values, character building, and moral development. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Mathematics Lead to manage and enhance the Mathematics department. This full-time position involves overseeing the delivery of the Cambridge Mathematics curriculum, driving academic excellence, and ensuring that teaching standards meet the institution’s high expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the Mathematics department in all aspects of curriculum planning and implementation. Ensure the effective delivery of the Cambridge Mathematics curriculum while maintaining strict adherence to assessment standards. Develop detailed schemes of work, lesson plans, assessments, and academic resources tailored to the diverse needs of students. Monitor teaching quality regularly, track student progress, and evaluate learning outcomes to uphold high academic standards.

Provide mentorship and guidance to Mathematics teachers by offering constructive feedback and facilitating ongoing professional development opportunities. Analyze student performance data to identify areas requiring improvement and implement targeted strategies to address these gaps. Encourage innovative, inquiry-based, and student-centered teaching methodologies within the department.

Coordinate departmental meetings, academic planning sessions, and examination preparations to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Maintain exemplary classroom management, uphold assessment integrity, and ensure accurate academic documentation. Foster a learning environment that promotes Islamic values, ethical conduct, discipline, and positivity. Ensure all departmental activities comply with school policies and maintain a Shariah-compliant educational environment.

Required Qualifications

A Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is essential. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of relevant teaching experience, with preference given to those who have held leadership or coordination roles. A strong understanding of the Cambridge Mathematics curriculum and assessment frameworks is required. Proven ability to mentor teachers effectively and drive continuous academic improvement is highly valued.

Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and organizational skills are necessary. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to upholding Islamic values, Shariah-compliant practices, and professional integrity throughout their work.
