Requires 4,5 years of MYSQL Database Administration experience working with various database management systems. MySQL Hands-on Experience with AWS RDS is a plus.
Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialized role.
Design and implement a database in accordance with the end user’s information needs and views.
Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.
Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.
Has a broad level of understanding surrounding information systems and application and/or Web standards.
Knowledge of web applications and the role databases play in a web application stack.
Determines the appropriate course of actions for fixing problems, identifies and mitigates risks, and implements solutions.
Evaluates future technologies and makes recommendations for software and hardware upgrades and technology solutions.
Troubleshoots database accessibility, availability, or operability problems.
Implements required security controls are designed around data and databases.
Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.
Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools.
Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL.
