The PHP Laravel Web Application Developer will assume responsibility for the maintenance and functional development of the company's backend applications and web-based software. This includes designing, coding, and modifying existing software, and contributing to creating new software applications on the Laravel framework. The successful developer must have a high sense of duty and a desire to follow projects through to completion and maintain the code base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and lead the development of the software that supports our mobile parking application
- Support the company’s IT infrastructure by designing and maintaining systems from back to front and web/APIs development.
- Design and develop data connectors and web-services connections between our system and those of our partners and mobile app
- Develop APIs for mobile apps, databases, content management systems, hosting platforms, and websites as necessary
- Support and monitor website and database updates, development, and testing
- Work to ensure data integrity and security within web-based applications
- Set policies and manage the codebase inside the version control system
- Influence procedures and best practices for the use and management of web-based software
- Manage Server-side tasks and optimization (AWS Ec2 Management) as required
Ideal Skills and Experiences:
- Bachelor’s/Master's Degree in a technology-related degree program
- 8+ Years of proven web programming and IT-related experience
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript/JQuery, JSON, PHP languages, and syntax
- Working knowledge of MySQL
- Working knowledge of Web Services technologies, including REST and SOAP
- Working knowledge of Laravel frameworks
Understanding the Amazon Web Services and WordPress CMS is a plus
