Accountant

Mazcorp Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with at least 2 years of experience to manage the financial activities related to construction work expenses. This role focuses on handling daily site expenses, maintaining accurate record keeping, and overseeing inventory management to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, ledger management, and audit compliance. The position does not involve managing a team but requires the ability to work independently and coordinate with various departments to support financial operations. The Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that all construction-related expenses are properly tracked and documented, contributing to the company's ability to manage budgets effectively and maintain compliance with financial regulations. This role requires precision, strong organizational skills, and the capacity to manage multiple financial tasks simultaneously while supporting the overall financial health of Mazcorp Engineerings projects.
Responsibilities

Manage daily site expense tracking and ensure all expenditures are accurately recorded.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records including accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare and review financial reports to provide insights on cost management and budget status.
Oversee ledger management ensuring all transactions are accurately posted and reconciled.
Ensure compliance with audit requirements and assist with preparation of audit documentation.
Conduct inventory management related to construction materials and supplies to support project budgeting.
Monitor expense management to align with construction work budgets and financial policies.
Coordinate with project managers and other departments to verify financial data accuracy.
Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving financial processes within the construction workflow.
Support the implementation of financial controls to prevent errors and fraud.
