We are seeking an experienced MBU Lead to manage the end-to-end operations of telecom sites within a designated Micro Business Unit (MBU) located in Faisalabad. This role is vital for ensuring the successful execution of contractual obligations, efficient handling of customer complaints, and meeting site profitability goals. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise with Ericsson and ZTE equipment, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and prior experience in Access Operations. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills are essential to thrive in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess overall MBU performance and operational activities to ensure seamless functioning.
- Utilize in-depth technical knowledge and hands-on experience to troubleshoot BSS, Transmission (TXN), and Power systems.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of 2G/3G/4G KPIs such as DCR, CSSR, and TCH Blocking, ensuring consistent achievement of targets.
- Conduct regular audits and quality checks across BSS, TXN, and Power domains within the network.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team to address and resolve customer complaints promptly.
- Coordinate daily activities with Operations & Maintenance (O&M) vendors and teams, including Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) for both Telco and Non-Telco elements within the MBU.
- Assign tasks to teams and supervise their execution in alignment with project and operational requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison between the MBU team and other departments such as NOC, RFO, Planning, Logistics, Deployment, and Warehouse to facilitate timely resolution of cross-functional issues.
- Process vendor invoices and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) within established deadlines.
- Prepare and present operational and performance reports as requested by management.
- Maintain close coordination with OMOs and vendors to resolve issues related to infrastructure-sharing sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Telecom Operations & Maintenance.
- Strong technical expertise in BSS, Transmission, and Power systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of 2G/3G/4G KPIs and network performance management.
- Excellent coordination, reporting, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-focused approach to identifying and resolving network issues.
- Hands-on experience with Transmission equipment, particularly Ericsson.
- Willingness to work around the clock, including holidays and public holidays, as an emergency resource.
