McMaster Supply Group is seeking a dedicated Recruitment & Organizational Development Specialist to join our human resources team. This individual plays a vital role in attracting, recruiting, and retaining top talent while driving initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. The ideal candidate has a strong background in talent acquisition and organizational development, with 3 to 4 years of relevant experience. They apply their expertise to design and implement recruitment strategies and organizational programs that foster continuous improvement, employee growth, and high performance. The Recruitment & OD Specialist focuses on creating a positive work environment through effective performance management, learning and development initiatives, and change management. They utilize HR analytics and applicant tracking systems to streamline recruitment processes and support data-driven decision-making. While this position does not involve team management, it requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and to promote a culture of collaboration and professional development within McMaster Supply Group.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective talent acquisition strategies to attract qualified candidates across various roles within the company.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, interviewing candidates, and coordinating with hiring managers.
  • Utilize applicant tracking systems to monitor recruitment activities and maintain accurate records of candidate progress.
  • Drive organizational development initiatives aimed at improving workforce capabilities, employee engagement, and overall organizational culture.
  • Design and support performance management programs to monitor and enhance employee productivity and development.
  • Facilitate change management activities to support company-wide transitions and initiatives, ensuring smooth adaptation.
  • Conduct employee engagement assessments and implement strategies to improve workplace satisfaction and retention.
  • Leverage HR analytics to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and inform decision-making processes.
  • Support learning and development efforts by identifying training needs and coordinating relevant educational programs.
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and professional manner to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align recruitment and development strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Maintain compliance with labor laws and company policies in all recruitment and organizational development activities.
