Mechanical Draftsman

Hitech Steel Industries, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, specializes in steel-related industrial projects, fabrication, and engineering solutions. The company prides itself on delivering high-quality workmanship, precise technical documentation, and dependable project execution through close collaboration among its engineering, production, and project teams. Currently, Hitech Industrial Group is seeking skilled Mechanical Draftsmen / CAD Designers to join their Engineering and Projects team, working remotely from Pakistan or India on a full-time basis. The role involves creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models to support fabrication, manufacturing, and installation activities, ensuring all designs meet client requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and maintain accurate 2D technical drawings and 3D models of mechanical components, structures, equipment, and assemblies.
- Prepare client approval drawings, fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and installation layouts.
- Develop detailed drawings including dimensions, tolerances, welding details, material specifications, and assembly instructions.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), Material Take-Offs (MTOs), cutting details, and packing lists.
- Review and revise drawings based on engineering requirements, client feedback, and site conditions.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy and manufacturability.
- Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, quality requirements, and project deadlines.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in mechanical drafting, fabrication, or manufacturing drawings.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or CATIA.
- Ability to prepare shop drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs, and material take-offs.
- Good understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Drafting, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience with sheet metal, structural steel, machinery, equipment, or product fabrication is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CNC cutting processes and manufacturing standards is a plus.
