MECHANICAL DRAFTSMAN

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join our team and contribute to the preparation of detailed mechanical drawings and layouts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, and assembly drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. This role requires close coordination with engineers and project teams to support fabrication and resolve any drawing-related queries, playing a vital part in the successful execution of engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare mechanical General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, and detailed drawings with precision.
- Develop equipment, assembly, and manufacturing drawings that meet engineering requirements.
- Create detailed part drawings and fabrication details to support production.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and maintain accurate material details.
- Develop and update mechanical layouts based on engineering inputs and project revisions.
- Interpret engineering sketches, calculations, datasheets, and vendor information effectively.
- Incorporate engineering comments and project changes into drawings promptly.
- Coordinate closely with Mechanical Engineers and other disciplines to ensure drawing accuracy.
- Verify that dimensions, elevations, orientations, and equipment details are correctly represented.
- Maintain drawing numbers, revision records, and drawing registers in an organized manner.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and company drafting standards.
- Support fabrication and project teams by addressing and resolving drawing-related queries.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Drafting (DAE) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant mechanical drafting experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings independently.
- Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD is essential for this role.
- Experience in industries such as Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, EPC/EPCC, fabrication, or industrial projects is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Familiarity with 3D drafting software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks will be considered an advantage.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in drawing preparation are critical skills for success.
- Competitive salary range from Rs40,000 to Rs88,000 per month.
