Mechanical Service Engineer / Technician – Diesel & Gas Generators

Technovision (Pvt.) Limited, a well-established leader in Pakistan’s power generation industry since 1995, specializes in the sales, rental, installation, maintenance, and after-sales services of industrial and commercial diesel and gas generator sets. We are currently looking for experienced Mechanical Service Engineers/Technicians to join our Service Department. The ideal candidates will have strong hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of diesel and gas generator sets, ensuring their optimal performance and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, preventive, and corrective maintenance of diesel and gas generator sets.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults in generator engines and related equipment.
- Conduct engine servicing, overhauling, repair, and replacement of mechanical components.
- Inspect and maintain engine cooling, lubrication, fuel, exhaust, and other mechanical systems.
- Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble engines and associated parts as required.
- Execute major and minor engine overhauls following manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
- Inspect and troubleshoot radiators, water pumps, thermostats, fuel systems, turbochargers, belts, hoses, and other engine components.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, engine specifications, and service documentation accurately.
- Conduct testing and commissioning after maintenance or repair work to ensure proper functionality.
- Prepare detailed service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Provide on-site technical support at customer locations when necessary.
- Maintain professional communication with customers and coordinate effectively within the Service Department.
- Follow company safety protocols and maintain cleanliness and orderliness at work sites.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) or B-Tech in Mechanical, Auto Diesel, or an equivalent qualification.
- 3 to 5 years of practical experience in servicing and maintaining diesel/gas generators.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of diesel engines and generator sets.
- Proven ability in engine troubleshooting, servicing, repair, and overhauling.
- Skilled in diagnosing mechanical faults using appropriate tools and testing methods.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for field service assignments.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a technical team.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Familiarity with major generator engine brands such as Cummins, Caterpillar, Perkins, Volvo Penta, John Deere, and Kohler is highly desirable.
- Competitive salary package ranging from PKR 50,000 to 80,000 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
