The Mechanical Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all mechanical activities on-site, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems. This position ensures that all mechanical works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining safety compliance, quality control, and smooth collaboration among subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to achieve timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily mechanical operations on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate seamless execution of mechanical works.
- Monitor the installation of HVAC systems, plumbing, firefighting systems, and other mechanical equipment to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Track work progress to ensure alignment with project timelines and milestones.
- Review and verify mechanical drawings prior to execution to prevent errors and ensure compliance.
- Ensure all tasks are performed according to approved shop drawings, technical specifications, and method statements.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify, report, and resolve any discrepancies or deviations from approved plans promptly.
- Enforce strict compliance with safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage on-site.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily site activities, including manpower deployment and material consumption.
- Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports for management review.
- Immediately report any accidents, incidents, or unsafe practices observed on-site.
- Collaborate with other disciplines such as Electrical, Civil, and ELV teams to ensure integrated project execution.
- Attend site meetings and liaise with consultants, clients, and main contractors as required.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and verify material quality upon receipt.
- Work closely with the engineering team to identify and resolve site execution challenges.
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for mechanical systems to ensure smooth handover.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in mechanical works, preferably on high-rise, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective communication skills.
- Competent in MS Office applications and basic project management tools.
- Well-versed in site safety regulations and best practices.
