MedAsk (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking a dedicated IT Officer to monitor, maintain, and support its IT infrastructure, networks, and computer systems. The IT Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of technology resources by installing, configuring, troubleshooting hardware and software, and maintaining network security. This position involves providing technical support and assistance across all branches and the Head Office, guaranteeing high availability of IT services to enable uninterrupted business operations.
The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of network administration, system monitoring, and IT infrastructure management, with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience. The role requires handling technical issues promptly, managing user accounts and access permissions, and collaborating with external vendors for the procurement and maintenance of IT equipment. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it demands strong communication and customer service skills to effectively support users and contribute to the organizations IT goals.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to IT service requests and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, operating systems, network devices, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Provide reliable technical support across all branches and the Head Office, ensuring consistent IT service delivery.
- Set up new user accounts, manage email accounts and access permissions, and address password-related concerns.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems, servers, routers, switches, Wi-Fi devices, and overall network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues, ensuring timely diagnosis and resolution.
- Configure and maintain network devices to safeguard internet connectivity and network security.
- Collaborate with external vendors to procure IT equipment, software licenses, and technical support services as needed.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventories, software license documentation, and up-to-date technical records.
- Deliver user training and guidance on company applications and systems to enhance user proficiency.
- Follow IT compliance protocols and governance policies to ensure organizational security standards are met.
- Assist in implementing technology solutions and upgrades to improve business productivity.
- Support backup and recovery processes to protect company data and ensure business continuity.
- Work independently and collaboratively within the IT team to achieve organizational objectives.
