General Objectives
The Qualitative Research Assistant will support the implementation of qualitative data collection activities in accordance with the study protocol. The position combines qualitative research fieldwork responsibilities with transcription and translation of qualitative data.
The post holder will contribute to the collection, transcription, translation, management, and quality assurance of qualitative data, ensuring data quality and accuracy while upholding ethical standards, MSF principles, confidentiality, and good research practices.
Key Responsibilities
Médecins Sans Frontières/ Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an international, independent organization which provides medical and humanitarian aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF first started working in Pakistan in 1986 and today provides vital, high-level medical care to people in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Punjab provinces. We work in collaboration with health authorities in the country and aim at providing access to quality medical care for the population. There is a particular focus on mother and child healthcare and the treatment of specific diseases such as tuberculosis and cutaneous leishmaniasis. MSF also has the capacity to respond quickly to emergencies or natural disasters whenever and wherever they strike. In Pakistan our activities are funded by private donations worldwide, with no institutional or government contributions. MSF's medical facilities are located in Peshawar, Khyber Agency, Chaman, Quetta, Dera Murad Jamali, Gujranwala and Karachi.
