Media Buying Specialist

Pencil Media Production, a results-oriented digital marketing agency based in Los Angeles, is looking for a part-time Media Buying Specialist to support fundraising and community campaigns for US Muslim nonprofits. This fully remote role involves managing paid advertising efforts for Islamic charities, mosques, humanitarian organizations, advocacy groups, and similar nonprofits. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Google Ads and Meta Ads, a strong understanding of Muslim audiences, and the ability to create culturally sensitive messaging aligned with Islamic values. The working hours for this position are from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM Pakistan Time.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute paid acquisition strategies specifically tailored for Muslim nonprofit clients. Manage advertising campaigns across platforms including Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, display networks, and retargeting channels. Create and optimize campaigns focused on donations, Zakat, Ramadan appeals, emergency relief, events, community programs, and awareness initiatives. Set up campaign audiences, tracking pixels, conversion events, and reporting dashboards to monitor and analyze performance. Organize and maintain advertising creatives, copy, landing pages, and other campaign assets. Analyze campaign data to identify top-performing audiences, ads, keywords, placements, and fundraising messages. Monitor and manage campaign budgets to ensure efficient spend pacing. Conduct research on audiences, competitors, keywords, and nonprofit fundraising trends. Design and implement targeting experiments and test new campaign strategies. Troubleshoot issues related to campaign delivery, tracking, pixel implementation, attribution, and conversions. Ensure compliance with platform policies and nonprofit advertising guidelines. Collaborate closely with designers, copywriters, account managers, and nonprofit clients to deliver cohesive campaigns. Prepare and present weekly updates, monthly reports, and end-of-month deliverables. Communicate campaign results, challenges, and strategic recommendations clearly and professionally.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of four years’ experience managing paid advertising campaigns is essential. Proven success running campaigns specifically for US Muslim nonprofit organizations is required. Strong expertise in Google Ads, Meta Ads, retargeting, display advertising, and conversion tracking is necessary. Experience with donation drives, fundraising, event registrations, lead generation, and awareness campaigns is expected. A deep understanding of Muslim audiences, Islamic values, and culturally sensitive messaging approaches is critical. Familiarity with key Islamic fundraising concepts and periods such as Ramadan, Zakat, Sadaqah, emergency relief efforts, community programs, and year-end campaigns is important. The candidate must have the ability to write and evaluate compelling ad copy and creative concepts. Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail are required. The ability to manage multiple client accounts and advertising budgets simultaneously is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary. A willingness to continuously learn new advertising strategies and stay updated on industry trends is expected. Demonstrated responsibility, ownership, and accountability are key attributes.
