In this full-time, on-site position based in Lahore, Medical Billers / Accounts Receivable (AR) Executives with a minimum of one year of experience will be responsible for managing daily billing and accounts receivable operations. The role requires preparing and submitting medical claims, following up on outstanding balances, resolving claim denials, and coordinating with insurance providers to secure timely payments. Candidates will verify patient coverage, review documentation for accuracy, and apply appropriate medical codes to ensure compliant billing practices. Collaboration with internal teams and clients is essential to maintain clear communication, support audit processes, and contribute to optimizing overall revenue cycle performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate medical claims in accordance with payer requirements and coding standards.
- Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Analyze and resolve claim denials by identifying root causes and implementing effective resolution strategies.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to billing.
- Review clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness for billing purposes.
- Apply ICD-10 and other relevant coding standards to support compliant and efficient billing processes.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth revenue cycle operations.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and team members to support audits and reporting.
- Utilize medical billing software and claim submission platforms effectively to manage billing workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing, accounts receivable follow-up, or revenue cycle management.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical documentation relevant to billing and coding.
- Proficient knowledge of ICD-10 coding standards and their practical application in billing activities.
- Experience handling denials, including analysis, root-cause identification, and resolution techniques.
- Familiarity with insurance processes, payer requirements, and Medicare billing guidelines.
- Competency in using medical billing software, claim submission platforms, and basic Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
