Medical Billing Virtual Assistant

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Medical Billing Virtual Assistant based in Islamabad, Pakistan, to provide dedicated support to U.S. healthcare providers. This role involves managing various administrative and billing tasks remotely, ensuring smooth communication between patients and providers while maintaining strict adherence to healthcare regulations. The position requires working night shifts and offers a competitive salary range.

Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance coverage, including PPO, Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare plans.
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars for healthcare providers.
- Handle patient billing inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide administrative support to healthcare providers as needed.
- Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems along with billing portals to process claims and payments.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
- 1 to 2 years of experience working as a healthcare virtual assistant or in a related medical billing role.
- Strong knowledge of insurance types, including PPO, Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare.
- Proficiency in using EHR/EMR systems and billing portals.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with U.S.-based clients and patients.
- Ability to work night shifts in accordance with U.S. time zones.
