Medical Dispenser – Part-Time | Morning Shift

DSRA Medical Centre, a charitable healthcare facility located near PNS Shifa Hospital in Karachi, is seeking a responsible, qualified, and experienced Medical Dispenser to join our team for a part-time morning shift. This role offers an excellent opportunity for Medical Dispensers, Pharmacy Assistants, or other qualified dispensing professionals who prefer a short, focused shift within a professional medical centre environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Dispense medicines accurately in accordance with doctors’ prescriptions.
- Prepare and issue prescribed medications to patients efficiently.
- Maintain precise records of medicines dispensed and received.
- Monitor medicine stock levels, inventory, and expiry dates regularly.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and organization of all medicines.
- Identify and report any low-stock, expired, or near-expiry medicines promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dispensing area.
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, medical officers, and other healthcare staff.
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to patients at all times.
- Follow established medication-handling, dispensing, and safety procedures.
- Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

- Relevant qualification or certification in Medical Dispensing, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- Valid professional registration or certification will be considered an advantage where applicable.
- Proven experience of 1 to 3 years working as a Medical Dispenser.
- Experience in hospitals, clinics, medical centres, pharmacies, or other healthcare facilities is preferred.
- Good knowledge of medicines, prescriptions, dosage forms, and basic pharmacy practices.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Candidates residing in or near the following areas will be given preference: Jamhoria Colony, Kalapul, Hazara Colony, Mehmoodabad, and Akhtar Colony. This role offers a part-time schedule from Monday to Saturday, with working hours from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, totaling approximately 18 to 20 hours per week. Salary is negotiable and will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and suitability for the position.
