Imran Idress Teaching Hospital, located on Daska Road in Sialkot, is seeking a dedicated and competent Medical Officer to join its Emergency Department on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing prompt medical assessment and initial management of emergency patients, ensuring their stabilization, and initiating appropriate treatment. This role demands a proactive approach to patient care, effective coordination with consultants and other departments, and strict adherence to hospital protocols and patient safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely medical assessment and initial management of emergency patients.
- Stabilize patients and initiate appropriate emergency treatment.
- Monitor patient condition and coordinate referrals or admissions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records and documentation.
- Follow established hospital protocols, emergency procedures, and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with consultants and relevant departments to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Ensure proper handover and continuity of care during shift changes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the department or hospital management.
Required Qualifications:
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid PMDC registration.
- Minimum of one year clinical experience, preferably with exposure to emergency room settings.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
