Cashier

We are currently seeking a diligent individual to join our team as a Cashier. The primary responsibility of the Cashier is to process transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and a friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities:

Process sales transactions using cash registers or electronic payment systems.
Collect payments, and issue receipts to customers.
Ensure accurate cash handling and balance cash drawers at the end of each shift.
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking bags, cleaning conveyor belts, and removing debris.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
Assist with inventory management tasks, such as restocking shelves and monitoring product levels.
Follow company procedures for cash management, refunds, exchanges, and voids.
Adhere to all safety and security protocols to protect company assets and prevent theft or fraud.
Stay informed about current promotions, discounts, and product offerings to upsell and cross-sell to customers.
Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and reporting.

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
Strong numerical aptitude and proficiency in basic math calculations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using cash registers, POS systems, and other relevant technology.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
