Job Purpose:
The Ramp Manager will be responsible for all ground handling activities and maintenance of GSE, ensuring that the delivery of services is consistent, professional, safe, and secure. Main Accountabilities and Duties:
- Manage the Ramp’s operational, maintenance and administrative activities in an orderly manner to achieve the assigned task.
- Assign the responsibilities to subordinates for accomplishment of operational task as per their skills and professional abilities.
- Co-ordination with client airlines for all matters pertaining to Ramp Operations, including Civil Aviation, Air Traffic Control and Air vigilance.
- Safe custody of equipment, vehicles, fixtures, machines, tools, tester, furniture, documents, and other ancillary items.
- Ensuring that emergency preparedness and response procedure pertaining to Ramp Operations & GSE is available and implemented.
- Ensuring that the staff working under him/her do not indulge in any activity which is prejudicial to good order and MRAS discipline.
- Ensuring that all significant occurrences are recorded for appropriate and follow up action.
- Ensuring that all type of inspections on equipment including drinking water sample and calibration of precision gauges are carried out as per check list / schedule and are properly documented.
- P&L responsibility up to and including building, managing, and delivering an annual budget.
- Responsible for the management and development of staff up to and including performance management and staff development opportunities.
- Build and develop internal and external relationships with stakeholders to build effective and beneficial working relationships to benefit the company.
- Implement and manage contracts and Service Level Agreements with airline customers to minimize non-contracted variations to agreed terms and conditions.
- Implement and manage new airline start-ups as and when required.
- Automate, streamline, and simplify business practices to improve business performance.
- Maintain and develop relationships with key customer contacts, with a view to maximize growth opportunities.
- Maximizing business potential and revenue while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Lead and participate in projects and change processes as required.
- Share best practice through collaboration and consultation with other ports and areas of the business.
- Submission of budgetary requirement for induction of additional equipment/vehicle in Ramp inventory.
- Ensure the annual passing of equipment / vehicles by CAA inspectorate team.
- Ensure training, refresher courses and firefighting lectures of Ramp Staff.
- Accountable for all safety and security in accordance with Menzies Aviation Health & Safety, Security, Quality assurance policies. In addition to management and oversight of Safety Management Systems and all other directives as instructed by the company.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 05 years management experience in ground handling.
- Display strong decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Strong senior management and leadership skills with key focus on staff development.
- Interpersonal skills: Independence, decisiveness, and the ability to work accurately and independent of immediate support.
- Able to influence, engage and motivate at all levels.
- Flexible, determined to succeed and self-motivated.
- Extensive knowledge of Menzies Aviation operations, the airline industry, ground-handling market, and applicable airline regulatory standards.
