Officer - Cargo Operations

The Officer - Cargo Operations at MENZIES-RAS Pvt Ltd plays a critical role in managing and overseeing daily cargo activities to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely handling of shipments. This position involves coordinating multiple stakeholders such as airlines, freight forwarders, customs authorities, warehouse teams, and transport providers to guarantee smooth cargo flow. The officer is responsible for processing cargo documentation accurately, monitoring cargo movement closely, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, security, and regulatory standards. The role demands attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to work effectively under time-sensitive conditions in a dynamic and operationally diverse environment. This position requires excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external partners, resolve shipment discrepancies, and contribute to operational efficiency through coordination and record maintenance. The role involves conducting regular inspections to maintain workplace safety standards and supporting inventory control and warehouse management as needed. The environment is shift-based, spanning office settings, warehouses, ramps, and airport cargo terminals. Though the position does not include team management responsibilities, it requires collaborative teamwork and coordination skills to optimize cargo operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities

Coordinate daily import, export, and cargo operations ensuring all activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Prepare, verify, and process all cargo-related documentation, including Air Waybills, manifests, and customs clearance papers accurately and promptly.
Monitor shipment progress from loading through to delivery, ensuring timely handling and resolving any delays or discrepancies that arise.
Liaise effectively with airlines, freight forwarders, customs officials, warehouse staff, and transport providers to ensure seamless cargo movement.
Ensure strict adherence to aviation security regulations, customs laws, and internal operating procedures to maintain compliance and safety.
Manage customer inquiries and shipment issues promptly to maintain high levels of service satisfaction and operational transparency.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all cargo transactions and generate relevant operational reports for management review.
Monitor cargo storage conditions diligently to guarantee proper handling of special cargo types including dangerous goods, perishables, and valuables.
Collaborate with internal departments to identify and implement improvements that optimize operational efficiency and workflow.
Conduct regular inspections to uphold workplace safety standards and compliance with operational protocols.
Support warehouse and inventory management activities to contribute to effective stock control and cargo handling processes.
Manage workload effectively under shift-based schedules including weekends and public holidays, maintaining high performance levels throughout.
