MEP Draftsman

The MEP Draftsman position is a full-time, on-site role based in Rawalpindi, focused on producing detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings in line with project specifications and engineering standards. This role requires the preparation and updating of technical drawings using CAD software, ensuring designs are accurate, clear, and compliant with relevant codes. The draftsman will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to clarify design requirements, resolve any drawing-related issues, and support the timely completion of projects. Maintaining organized documentation and following company drafting procedures are also key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and update detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings, layouts, and plans according to project requirements.
- Utilize CAD software (such as AutoCAD) to develop coordinated MEP designs that meet engineering standards and codes.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to clarify design details and resolve discrepancies in drawings.
- Revise and modify drawings based on feedback from the project team to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings and related documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure all drawings are clear, precise, and adhere to industry standards and project specifications.
- Support the project team by providing timely and accurate drafting deliverables to meet project deadlines.

Required Qualifications
- Strong skills in mechanical drawings and design engineering, with the ability to interpret engineering concepts into practical layouts.
- Proficiency in technical and engineering drawings, ensuring documentation is clear, precise, and standards-compliant.
- Hands-on experience with CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar) specifically for MEP drafting and design coordination.
- Solid understanding of MEP systems, building services, and applicable codes and standards.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple drawings and revisions simultaneously.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work efficiently with cross-functional teams on-site.
