MEP Project Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and experienced MEP Engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in MEP works related to high-rise building construction. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical systems, mechanical and plumbing networks, firefighting systems, and overall site execution of MEP activities. This role demands a professional who can effectively manage complex projects, ensure compliance with design specifications, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to deliver quality results on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise, manage, and coordinate all MEP construction activities on high-rise building projects, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
- Oversee the installation and execution of piping networks, including water supply, sewerage, drainage, and firefighting systems.
- Review design and shop drawings to identify technical discrepancies and propose cost-effective, practical engineering solutions for construction challenges.
- Manage and supervise electrical installations, including High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) networks, Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems, switchgear, distribution boards (DBs), synchronizing panels, and electrical wiring.
- Evaluate building electrical loads, coordinate load assessments and approvals with relevant authorities such as LESCO and other regulatory bodies, ensuring full compliance with applicable standards.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control of electrical and mechanical materials, equipment, and installations in line with approved specifications and project requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other engineering teams to resolve technical issues and facilitate smooth project execution.
- Monitor site progress, inspect MEP installations, enforce health and safety regulations, and ensure timely completion of assigned works.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience specifically in MEP works for high-rise residential or commercial buildings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting networks.
- Proficiency in reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications, and material submittals.
- Proven experience in site supervision, MEP coordination, quality control, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, construction standards, and local authority approval procedures.
