We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Merchandiser with a strong background in custom boxes and packaging. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working directly with vendors and manufacturers in China. This role involves managing the entire merchandising process, from understanding customer requirements and coordinating samples to negotiating with suppliers, monitoring production, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

- Communicate and negotiate with Chinese vendors and manufacturers regarding pricing, production timelines, minimum order quantities, and product specifications.
- Source and develop reliable suppliers in China for custom packaging and related products.
- Prepare and manage quotations, cost sheets, purchase orders, and order confirmations.
- Coordinate sampling, mock-ups, artwork approvals, and pre-production samples with customers and suppliers.
- Follow up on production schedules to ensure orders are completed within agreed timelines.
- Monitor product quality and coordinate inspections to ensure compliance with approved samples and customer specifications.
- Manage communication between customers, suppliers, design teams, quality control, and logistics departments.
- Track shipments, coordinate with freight forwarders, and follow up on shipping documentation and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, supplier quotations, production updates, and customer communications.
- Identify opportunities to improve product quality, reduce costs, and strengthen supplier relationships.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in merchandising, preferably within the custom boxes, printed packaging, or packaging industry.
- Proven experience working directly with Chinese vendors and manufacturers is essential.
- Strong understanding of custom box manufacturing processes, including materials, printing, lamination, die-cutting, finishing, and packaging specifications.

Compensation and Work Location

The position offers a monthly salary range of Rs100,000 to Rs200,000. This is an in-person role requiring the candidate to work on-site.
