Merchandiser (Gents Fabric)

Saleem Fabrics, based in Lahore, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join their Merchandising and Retail Operations team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for merchandise planning, inventory coordination, stock distribution, and ensuring product availability across multiple retail outlets. This role requires a solid understanding of retail merchandising, sales trends, and inventory management, ideally within the textile or fashion retail sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage merchandise assortments aligned with seasonal trends, customer demand, and sales performance.
- Monitor inventory levels across retail locations to ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Coordinate stock transfers and distribution between warehouses and stores to maintain product availability.
- Analyze sales reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to identify fast-moving and slow-moving products.
- Allocate merchandise effectively based on branch-wise sales data and specific requirements.
- Identify stock shortages, excess inventory, and ageing stock, recommending corrective measures as needed.
- Collaborate with relevant departments on new product launches, seasonal collections, and promotional campaigns.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess product placement, stock availability, and merchandising standards.
- Prepare detailed merchandising reports and provide actionable recommendations to improve inventory turnover and overall sales.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Textile Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant merchandising experience, preferably within textile or fashion retail.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and merchandise planning.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and retail management software.
- Experience with Retail Pro Prism is considered an advantage.
