Merchandiser

Saleem Fabrics, located in Lahore, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Merchandiser to join our Merchandising and Retail Operations team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for merchandise planning, inventory coordination, stock distribution, and ensuring product availability across our retail outlets. This role requires a strong understanding of retail merchandising, sales trends, and stock management, ideally within the textile or fashion retail industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage merchandise assortments based on seasonal trends, customer demand, and sales performance.
- Monitor inventory levels at various retail outlets and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Coordinate with warehouse and store teams for stock transfers, distribution, and product availability.
- Analyze sales reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to identify fast-moving and slow-moving products.
- Allocate merchandise effectively according to branch-wise sales performance and specific requirements.
- Identify stock shortages, excess inventory, and ageing stock, recommending appropriate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with relevant departments for new product launches, seasonal collections, and promotional activities.
- Conduct regular store visits to oversee product placement, stock availability, and merchandising standards.
- Prepare detailed merchandising reports and provide recommendations to improve inventory turnover and overall sales performance.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Textile Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant merchandising experience, preferably in textile or fashion retail.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and merchandise planning.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and retail management software.
- Experience with Retail Pro Prism is considered an advantage.
