PPM Coordinator will be responsible to provide operational and implementation support in all aspects of the PPM component of the TB Program in close coordination with Senior Technical Advisor Health and Senior Program Manager.

  • S/he will be responsible to keep close liaison with national and provincial TB Control Programs and sub-recipients.
  •   S/he will review monthly and quarterly reports of the sub-recipients (SRs), and will develop the quarterly PUDR (programmatic report) in close coordination with the technical team and data management unit.
  • On a regular basis, s/he will support to the M&E team on resolving issues faced in implementation.
  • S/he will strengthen the capacity of the program team and of implementing partners to implement PPM as per the operational and technical guidelines.  

Essential Job Responsibilities 

Program Management and implementation

  • Ensure overall implementation of PPM component and provide operational support to all PPM related activities in close coordination with Senior Technical Advisor
  • Support in development of strong technical resources, documents and materials including but not limited to: training manuals, program guidelines, technical briefs and program presentations in close coordination with Senior Technical Advisor Health
  • Ensure that private healthcare providers are mapped and selected as per the defined criteria and are following national guidelines
  • Work closely with the sub-recipients, review their monthly work plan and reports and provide feedback
  • Closely follow-up with sub-recipients on the action plans developed based on field findings
  • Ensure that program implementation is responsive to communities and partners and consistent with Mercy Corps’ relevant program guidelines, principles, values, quality standards and strategic plan.
  • Confirm beneficiaries are effectively targeted according to transparent criteria
  • Fulfill Mercy Corps’ Program Management Minimum Standards based on the organization-wide guide.
  • Work in close coordination with QA coordinator to ensure the quality of performance of PPM labs

Team Management

  • Support the planning and implementation of the training and capacity building activities for PR unit team and implementing partners 

Representation and coordination

  • Represent Mercy Corps’ TB program at national, provincial and district level activities as and when required
  • Maintain coordination with the sub recipients for quality program delivery
  • Organize and lead Program Review Meetings on quarterly basis in coordination with Senior Technical Advisor and other team members  

Supervision, quality assurance and reporting

  • Work closely with Manager Monitoring and Data Management for in-depth data analysis of PPM component, to ensure development/implementation of targeted interventions that can lead to high yield while ensuring quality implementation
  • Make quarterly field visits to assess the quality of the interventions and make recommendations accordingly.
  • Make quarterly visits to SRs offices for data review align with M&E officers
  • Review monthly and quarterly progress reports and develop six monthly programmatic update (PU) and provide support in the process of verification of the PU by Local Fund Agent (LFA).
  • Facilitate field visits of Local Fund Agent (LFA), CCM and other stakeholders as and when required 
  • Participate in the design of studies, assessments, reviews and evaluations of program activities.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor

Works Directly With: Director of Programs, Senior Program Manager, Manager Monitoring and Data Management, MEL Manager, Finance and Operations teams, Team Leader South, Project Manager PIU   

 Knowledge and Experience

  • Medical Doctor and/or Master’s Degree in public health or any other relevant discipline.
  • At least five years of work experience in program implementation.
  • Previous experience in implementing Global Fund grants desirable while previous experience with a variety of donors will be an added advantage.
  • Experience of managing large scale projects is preferred.
  • Experience in TB control will be a plus. Excellent writing skills require.
  • Track record of maintaining liaison with governmental and non-governmental partners.
  • Proficiency in written and spoke English. Experience of donor reporting and grant management is required
