PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Project aims to enhance immunization activities in high-risk union councils of selected districts through community engagement and strengthened service delivery, including primary healthcare and the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI). The project focuses on deploying mobile health units, identifying zero-dose and defaulter children to improve vaccine coverage and reduce vaccine-preventable diseases in areas with low immunization rates. Collaborating with key stakeholders such as the EPI Program, health departments, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and local communities, the initiative emphasizes raising awareness, ensuring equitable vaccine delivery, and addressing immunization gaps to achieve sustainable health outcomes.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Manager will oversee and manage the implementation of the 'Improved Immunization through Community Engagement and Health System Strengthening' project across proposed Four districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). This role involves leading a multidisciplinary team, coordinating project activities, ensuring the immunization of target communities, effective delivery of mobile Primary Healthcare (PHC) services, and driving community engagement to increase immunization coverage, especially among zero-dose and under-immunized children. The Program Manager will work closely with the Project Manager KP, Director Programmes, SMT and key stakeholders including Districts and Provincial Government, EPI Directorate to ensure the project’s success, focusing on improving health system resilience, community acceptance, and overall immunization outcomes.
