Responsibilities and Duties
1. Identify resources through market survey at the mobilization stage.
2. Supervise overall procurement functions including enlistment of Vendor, P2P process and Make efforts for cost effective procurement.
3. The timely supply of goods at stores.
4. Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management
5. Delegating tasks and supervising the work of Purchasing
6. Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results
7. Leading a team of Purchasing Agents and delegate tasks across departments when necessary.
8. Responsible for preparing the Bid Analysis for comparison of the bids for selection of the best source. 9. Take decision on local and overseas procurement after consultation with top management.
10. Comply with the quality standards required by the top management
11. Responsible for assign purchase requests for calling/issuance of Request for Quotations (RFQ’s).
12. Select supplier from the comparative statement / bid analysis.
13. Authorize local market cash procurement as per prescribed limits without calling quotation.
14. Responsible for signing of Purchase Order’s (PO’s) on behalf of the company.
15. Responsible to suggest cancellation of the orders due to poor performance of the vendors.
16. Co-ordinate with the suppliers for replacement of rejected goods.
17. Approve supplier’s appraisal forms and black listing of the Suppliers due to poor performance.
18. Make arrangement for sale of scrap.
19. Decide the mode of selling the scrap and select the best suited parties.
20. Monitor the process of auction for sale of scrap.
21. Approve purchase order status report and purchase request status report.
22. Ensure the prescribed reporting to the GM /CEO and top management on monthly & yearly basis.
23. Approve the intersectional transfer of staff of procurement section.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree/ Master / MBA Supply Chain Management.
- 05 to 07 Years (equivalent industry experience).
- Experience working in a professional retail chain environment Intermediate to expert level.
- Understanding of software license metrics and software procurement trends.
